What this page covers

This website holds two kinds of personal information, and they are deleted in different ways. The first is an enquiry you submitted through the contact form. The second is a connected Facebook Page or Instagram professional account, which the site administrator links so that articles can be shared to it.

If you are not sure which applies to you, write to contact@buildbykashyap.in and say what you would like removed. Nothing more technical than that is needed.

Deleting a connected Facebook or Instagram account

Open the private admin area, go to the social connections list, and choose Disconnect on the account. This deletes the stored access token and the account details held for it immediately. Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram are not removed by this — they live on those platforms and are deleted there.

The same grant can be withdrawn from the platform side at any time, without the admin area: in Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites, and remove the app. Instagram professional accounts are managed through the Facebook Page they are linked to.

No information about visitors to this website, and no follower, comment, message, audience, or insights data from either platform, is collected through that connection. There is therefore nothing further of that kind to delete.

Deleting an enquiry or your contact details

Send a message to contact@buildbykashyap.in with the subject "Data deletion request", from the email address you used when you got in touch. Sending it from that address is what confirms the request is yours; if you cannot, say so and another way to verify it will be arranged.

Requests are acted on within 30 days. You will get a reply confirming what was deleted once it is done.

What is deleted, and what may be kept

The enquiry record and any correspondence held about you are deleted or anonymised, along with the contact details attached to them.

A limited amount of information may be kept where there is a legal or accounting obligation to retain it, or where it is needed to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement — for example records relating to paid work already carried out. Anything kept for that reason is kept for that reason alone and is not used to contact you.
